Crispy Oven-Baked Chicken Wings

This wing recipe is easy, customizable and great for sharing! If you’re looking for a hit to bring to a holiday gathering, these wings are a great choice.

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs chicken wings (split, tips removed)
  • 1 tbsp baking powder (aluminum-free)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika (smoked if you have it)
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp onion powder (optional)
  • Optional Sauce Ideas:
  • Buffalo sauce
  • Honey garlic sauce
  • BBQ sauce
  • Lemon pepper butter

Instructions

1. Preheat and prep
Preheat oven to 425°F. Pat wings very dry with paper towels (this is key for crispiness).

2. Season the wings
In a large bowl, toss wings with baking powder, salt, garlic powder, paprika, pepper, and onion powder until evenly coated.

3. Bake
Line a baking sheet with foil and place a wire rack on top. Arrange wings in a single layer. Bake for 45–50 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden brown and crispy.

4. Toss (optional)
Toss hot wings in your favorite sauce or brush sauce on and return to the oven for 5 more minutes to set.

5. Serve
